Tim Webster

Tim Webster

Co-Chief Executive Officer – Operations

In 1994, Tim joined The Presbyterian Homes, which became Brightspire and is now Kintura. He served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and in 2008 was promoted to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. Tim is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where he earned a BSBA degree in Accounting. Tim holds his Certified Public Accounting certificate in the state of North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

Co-Chief Executive Officer – Strategy

Steve has come full circle, having worked early in his career at the former Presbyterian Homes, Inc. and Friends Homes, both now part of Kintura. He joined Well-Spring Retirement Community in 2000 as President and CEO. He is a past chair of LeadingAge, the nation’s leading community of nonprofit aging services providers and other mission-driven organizations serving older adults. Steve received a BS degree in Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill, an MBA from Appalachian State University and a Graduate Fellowship in Strategic and Financial Planning from Harvard University.

Chief Operating Officer

Hank started with Kintura in 2008 as Vice President and Director of Operations for Brightspire. He and his family relocated to North Carolina from St. Petersburg, Fla., where he had served for eight years at Westminster Retirement Communities of Florida. Hank has been a licensed nursing home administrator since 1996 and is a graduate of Florida State University, where he earned a BS degree in Economics.

Julia joined Brightspire in 1998 and served as Director of Finance and as Controller before she was promoted to Vice President, Chief Financial Officer in 2003. Previously, Julia was an accountant with McGladrey & Pullen in Greensboro. She is a graduate of Appalachian State University, where she earned a BSBA degree in Accounting.

Alan Tutterow

Co-Chief Financial Officer

Alan joined Well-Spring Retirement Community as its Chief Financial Officer before it even opened its doors in 1993 and most recently served as COO and Director of Philanthropy. A Certified Public Accountant, he is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. Previously, he worked for KPMG Peat Marwick and was Controller, VP of Internal Audit and, ultimately, CFO for First American Savings Bank and First American Mortgage Corp. He is licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Nursing Home Administrator and serves as a Financial Surveyor for CARF/CCAC.
Mark Collins

Executive Vice President, Human Resources

Mark’s tenure with Kintura started in 2012 as Vice President and Director of Human Resources for Brightspire. Previously, he worked with International Textile Group/Burlington Industries for more than 30 years in various capacities of Human Resources, as well as held domestic and international responsibilities. Mark is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where he earned BS and BA degrees in Industrial Relations and Psychology, respectively.

Laura Lowe

Executive Vice President, Marketing & Sales

Laura joined Kintura in 2010 as the Director of Marketing for the Glenaire community. With a strong background in sales and marketing within the senior living sector, she has gained valuable insights into the needs of older adults and their families. In her current role, Laura develops and implements marketing and sales strategies to support Kintura’s communities and programs, focusing on enhancing resident experiences and addressing industry trends.

Lynn Wooten

Executive Vice President, Communications, Brand Strategy & Public Relations

A 1989 Journalism graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, Lynn joined The Well-Spring Group in 2016, Following a 10-year period as a newspaper reporter, he served in marketing, communications and public relations leadership roles at The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and UNC Health Care, where he launched the system’s first media relations program.

Marisa Ray

Executive Vice President, Philanthropy

Marisa joined Brightspire as Director of Development in June 2014. Her background includes work in the community foundation field and in higher education.  She is a graduate of Furman University, where she earned a BA in Sociology, and High Point University, where she earned a MPA – Nonprofit Organizations.

 

Willie Lash

Willie Lash, Jr.

Executive Vice President, Information Technology Services

In 2023, Willie joined Brightspire as Senior Director, IT Services. He is a graduate of North Carolina A&T University, with a BS degree in Accounting, and has served in various Information Technology support and leadership positions throughout his 30-year career.
