The development of a 30-acre wooded area in the center of Cary, NC in 1993, has thrived as the Person-Centered Care campus it was envisioned to be. With Glenaire celebrating 30 years of welcoming residents, the mission and ministry of our community has seen several opportunities to expand.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on January 11, 1994, and our campus opened with 114 independent living apartments, 20 assisted living residences, 20 skilled nursing beds, and 28 duplex cottages. Today, we are on the cusp of welcoming over 300 new residents into our newest expansion of 192 apartment homes. This new phase at Glenaire will include a state-of-the-art wellness center, various dining venues, as well as opportunities for artistic development and life-long-learning series.
Building and incorporating new plans for development are not limited to the recent expansion. Glenaire has established a welcoming and high-quality atmosphere, which is evident with our current wait list of future residents. Only six years after opening, Glenaire took on its first expansion project in the health care center, adding a 20-room nursing section. Quickly following was the development of a 51-unit apartment building and a two-story, 40-room assisted living building were completed. Having the support of the management team at Brightspire, Glenaire leaned into the mission statement by enriching the lives and touching the hearts of those we serve by partnering with Capital Towers of Raleigh. Another milestone for Glenaire was the opening of The Glade, an adult daycare program, in 2006. This program will also enjoy updated amenities with the latest expansion project.
